Gentlemen,

I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 25th November with reference to the sale of cheap brands of whisky in Hong Kong.

In reply I would point out that the Merchandise Marks Act of Hong Kong is practically identical with the Merchandise Marks Act of the United Kingdom, and that if the whisky to which you refer contravenes that act, which you infer, it should be possible for your agents in Hong Kong to take the necessary legal action in the

matter.
